We managed to break the record for the most snow (that fell) on Christmas Day. Apparently, we had 9 inches on Christmas in 1963, but it had fallen earlier in the week. The previous record was 0.8 inches, and the new record stands at 2.4 inches!
And I still managed to ride! Here's a picture for proof. Granted, it wasn't much of a ride, but anyway. Given the snow, I figure it still counts.
Trouble is a 16 year-old mare that I bought as a two year-old. We've done hunters, but our now trying to take on eventing. This blog details Trouble's "Trials and Tribulations" in learning dressage and tackling cross country obstacles.
Song of the South (Cotton)
Cotton is a 24 year-old AQHA mare, formerly of Western pleasure land. She now takes care of my husband, and stands in for Trouble (who has intermittent soundness issues). She was advertised as bombproof. She IS better than Trouble, but Cotton does spook at sheep and Great Pyranees dogs. Other breeds of dogs and white goats, however, are fine.
